What I BELIEVE Makes ME Strong

This song is a strength encourager for sure & the story of my life.  I love it!

I (Tina) don’t follow others easily.  If it ain’t right I ain’t doing it.  I say that with a smile = )  I have been the talk of the family, the in laws & lost connection with friends & even best friends over standing my ground.  Those long processes have taught me how agonizing patience can be.  People with fortified walls will throw stones.  Let me tell ya that sticks & stones break more than bones…

I have always been “the strong one” & at times really resented being told that & the truth of it as well.  Still learning and growing there to be honest.

Have you every read or been told these verses while you are going through something and your found yourself frustrated instead of it helping you?  I sure have.

James 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

I usually thought YEAH RIGHT!  JOY?!…  About that one for a very long time.

James 1:4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

This part was very eye opening for me.  When you stand strong you can actually see this in motion and GROW through the experience instead of just GOING through it time & time again.

James 4:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having STOOD the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

This is a blessing we pass on to all those who come in contact with us and those who come in contact with those people we touch.  It continues to multiply on & on… We need to stand strong and continually cultivate a habit of choosing what is good. Whether it be good fruit or bad fruit it will multiply on into the next generations.  It is so much bigger than us.  Kill the curses & multiply the blessings!

God Bless & Have a Great Weekend!

Tina
